Gemelli with sausage and spinach

Even my kids ate this one. It's a good one from Woman's Day Magazine.

Serves 6

Ingredients:
1 lb gemelli pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 lb Italian Sausage, casings removed
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 bags (5-6 oz each) baby spinach
grated parmesan

Directions:
Cook pasta according to box directions. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add sausage crumbling with a spoon. Cook until sausage is browned. Stir in chicken broth, scraping the browned bits from the pan.Stir in cream and nutmeg; simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Place spinach in colander and drain the pasta on top of the spinach. This will wilt the spinach. Return spinach and pasta to sausage pot and mix. Toss with grated parmesan cheese.
