Taco Seasoning Mix

So I was looking for this because I had all the seasonings, yet was still paying $1.25 for the packet. This is soo much cheaper and better than the taco seasoning packets.

Taco Seasoning mix

2 tsp instant minced onion (or use 1 tsp onion powder if all out)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp corn starch
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp instant minced garlic

combine all ingredients, seal and store. Equal to one packet from the store.

Taco filling:

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. water
seasoning mix

Brown beef, drain off excess grease. Add the seasoning mix and cook until fragrant. Add water, reduce to simmer and cook 10 min. Stir occassionally. Makes filling for 8-10 tacos.
